Each project will be thoughtfully evaluated by our Project Managers to meet and exceed your project requirements. Below are a few hangar design considerations that will be discussed before estimating a new hangar project:
- Aircraft details including clearance height and width requirements. Most single-engine aircraft will have a wingspan of 38’ or less. Schweiss, one of our hangar door affiliates, has a handy reference list of model dimensions from the major private aircraft manufacturers here.
- Ultimate end-use of the hangar. Will the hangar design include office space, living quarters,
maintenance or storage area? Mezzanine levels are an excellent source for adding office space
or living quarters and will be evaluated during the initial design consultation.
- Project Location. Local building codes and loads are utilized to determined how much steel is mandatory to fabricate your structure to meet and exceed engineering and reinforce architectural elements.
