What led you to a career at WSB?
Honestly, I got my job at WSB on a whim. I was unhappy at my previous job at the local ski resort and was looking for a career change. I had worked in offices before and really enjoyed it, so I thought, ” hey…why not go back.” I applied for the position they were advertising, not thinking I would get a reply. But sure enough, they called me in for an interview and hired me a week later. To this day, it was the best random decision I have ever made.
What do you like about working for WSB?
What I enjoy most about being the Office Coordinator is knowing everything going on throughout the office and being a key person who ensures everything in the office runs smoothly. I also enjoy being in the marketing department because I’ve always been a fan of video and photo editing, and being in this department gives me the freedom to do what I love.
What is one important skill everyone should have?
Adaptability – Being adaptable is important for multiple reasons. Employers value employees that are successfully able to manage changes in the workplace. The more adaptable you are, the more productive you’ll be overall. Being adaptable is also important because it showcases a person’s ability to be resourceful, displays leadership skills, and overall can make life and work easier.
What do you enjoy doing outside of work?
In the winter months, you can find me spending my weekends on my snowboard. In warmer months I enjoy camping, spending days in the sun near some sort of water, hiking, biking and going to outdoor concerts.
What is one thing on your bucket list?
Go swimming with otters.
